CHICAGO — For the sixth consecutive year, Managing Intellectual Property, publisher of the annual comprehensive legal directory IP STARS, has accorded a Highly Recommended ranking to the Illinois office of intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, and a Recommended ranking to the firm’s offices in North Carolina and Michigan.

The publication recognized Brinks Gilson & Lione in the areas of Patent Prosecution, Trademark, Copyright & Related Rights, Trademark Contentious, and Trademark Prosecution. Based on feedback from peers and clients, Managing IP additionally acknowledged nine Brinks attorneys as outstanding IP practitioners in its IP Stars list.

Chicago-based attorneys James R. Sobieraj, William H. Frankel, and Brad Lane were named both Patent and Trademark Stars. Alejandro (Alex) Fernandez of the firm’s Tampa, Fla., office, and Steven L. Oberholtzer of Brinks’ Ann Arbor, Mich. office were also named Patent and Trademark Stars.
