RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazilian students won the First Championship robotics tournament, held in Houston, USA, being finalists in the three modalities in dispute: First Lego League, First Tech Challenge and First Robotics Competition.

The Brazilian delegation was formed by 10 teams totaling 106 students.

Teams from Sesi de Blumenau (SC) and Americana (SP) won first place in the First Lego League category, in Gracious Professionalism, and in Robot Design, respectively.

The Jundiaí team won second place in Strategy and Innovation. In this category compete youngsters from 9 to 16 years of age, of elementary and high school.

The Sesi de Goiânia team was one of the six finalists of the Motivation Award in the First Tech Challenge category.
