Making sure the pipelines that serve the oil, gas, petrochemical, and other industries are sound is critically important but not easy. Until now, operators have had only one option—send people into the field to inspect for corrosion, leaks, structural damage, and wear. Today, crawler robots and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) offer a way to inspect pipelines thoroughly, more frequently, and more affordably.
ASME’s webinar, Inspection Robots: Pipeline Leaks, at 2:00 pm Eastern on April 23 will feature two leaders in pipeline robotic inspection. Rick Hunter of Avitas Systems, a BHGE venture, will discuss how UAVs use multiple sensors and analytics to address such issues as leaks, corrosion, and structural damage. Wes Kirkland of Eddyfi Technology will discuss how Inuktun crawler robots can inspect pipes for leaks, corrosion, and integrity.
Register now to learn:
- How modular robotic crawler and UAV solutions provide remote visual inspection and non-destructive testing of in-service pipelines well pads.
- How modular robotic crawlers and UAVs improve the safety and reduce the cost of inspecting confined space entry (CSE), limited access points, long distances, variable geometry (including vertical sections), and other pipeline structural integrity assessment challenges.
- The types of inspections that UAV can performed including advanced methane detection & reduction system
- The types of data and analytics available from robotic inspection and analytics systems.
- Best practices for using crawlers and UAVs as part of an ongoing inspection and maintenance program.
